As part of the design submission for finalist selection, contestants must include a safety plan and a hazard analysis. This webinar will include a discussion on safety planning and what information should be included in the safety plan document.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs intends to issue a funding opportunity announcement (FOA) later this year that will help promote tribal energy sufficiency by providing funding for Tribes to make their buildings more energy efficient and deploy community-scale clean energy systems.

Eligible applicants for this opportunity include Indian Tribes, Alaska Native regional and village corporations, tribal energy resource development organizations, and tribal consortia on whose Indian land the project will be located.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has released its latest report in a series analyzing markets where LEDs compete with traditional lighting sources. The new report, Adoption of Light-Emitting Diodes in Common Lighting Applications, reveals a wealth of insights into promising pathways for SSL technology development, providing estimates of the energy saved in 2014 due to current levels of LED penetration in 10 lighting applications, as well as the potential energy savings if each of these applications had switched completely to the best available LED products.

The awards are sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention and the National Academy of Sciences, and recognize outstanding chemical technologies that promote environmental and economic benefits using green chemistry. The 2015 awards ceremony was held on July 13, 2015, and hosted by the National Academy of Sciences.
